"You have to feel it to heal it."

— Dr. Elisa Joy Seibert

Therapy Services Offered

I see individuals, couples, children, teens and families who are navigating life’s ever-evolving challenges.

Individual therapy

Individual therapy offers a supportive space to explore yourself—exactly where you are today. Often, our current struggles stem from past experiences that shape how we think, feel, and connect. These patterns can leave us feeling stuck in cycles of anxiety, depression, or loneliness that seem impossible to break.

In therapy, we’ll approach these patterns with curiosity and compassion, not judgment or shame. Drawing from Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB), Psychodynamic Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), our work will help you build self-awareness, regulate emotions, and create healthier ways of relating—to yourself and to others—so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and emotional healing.

Couple & Family Therapy

Relationships are essential to our sense of belonging—but feeling connected, secure, and understood isn’t always easy. Whether you’re hoping to repair trust, strengthen communication, or deepen family bonds, therapy offers a supportive and unbiased space to better understand one another.

Together, we’ll explore your patterns and attachment styles through an empathy-based, judgment-free lens. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), The Gottman Method, and Internal Family Systems (IFS), our work will help you rebuild closeness, foster lasting connection, and navigate conflict with compassion—even in times of stress or change.

Children + Teen Therapy

Children and teens today face more pressure than ever—from academics and social media to friendships, identity, and constant comparison. These stressors can lead to anxiety, depression, and emotional overwhelm. Early therapy can help young people build the skills and confidence they need to thrive.

In child and teen therapy, I use developmentally attuned, evidence-based approaches to help clients identify emotions, manage stress, and strengthen emotional regulation. Grounded in Interpersonal Neurobiology (IPNB) and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), sessions offer a safe, supportive space for growth, self-expression, and connection—promoting resilience, self-esteem, and lasting wellbeing.

Areas of Treatment + how we will work together

  • Anxiety can appear in many forms—racing thoughts, constant “what if” worries, a pounding heartbeat, or a sense of dread that follows you through the day. You may feel burned out, tense, or unable to relax, even when nothing seems immediately wrong. Over time, anxiety can interfere with work, relationships, and daily life.

In therapy, we’ll identify the root causes of your anxiety and develop healthy coping strategies to manage stress, reduce overwhelm, and restore balance. Using evidence-based techniques, we’ll work together to calm your body, quiet your mind, and help you feel more grounded and in control.

  • Feeling sad or unmotivated from time to time is part of being human—but when the heaviness doesn’t lift and daily life starts to feel like an uphill battle, it may be time for support. Depression can show up as exhaustion, irritability, loss of interest, or a sense of emptiness that’s hard to explain. You may have even been taught to minimize your pain or told that “depression doesn’t happen in this family.”

In therapy, we’ll take a compassionate, judgment-free look at what you’re experiencing and identify the factors contributing to your symptoms. Together, we’ll create a personalized treatment plan to help you regain energy, confidence, and hope—restoring a sense of balance and joy in your life.

  • Trauma can feel overwhelming—leaving you anxious, hypervigilant, or reliving painful memories long after the experience has ended. You may notice tension in your body, racing thoughts, or difficulty feeling safe and connected. These are common signs of unresolved trauma, PTSD, or complex trauma (C-PTSD).

In trauma therapy, we’ll move at your pace—exploring how past experiences affect your relationships, sense of trust, and emotional wellbeing. You’ll receive compassionate, judgment-free care while learning evidence-based tools for trauma recovery, nervous system regulation, and emotional healing. Together, we’ll work to restore balance, rebuild safety, and help you move forward with confidence and self-compassion.

  • We often hear the phrase “coping skills,” but what does it really mean? Coping skills are healthy, effective strategies for managing stress, anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges. In therapy, we’ll focus on practical tools for stress management, emotional regulation, and building resilience—helping you respond to life’s difficulties with greater calm and confidence. Together, we’ll strengthen the skills that move you forward and prevent that familiar feeling of being stuck.

  • Healthy relationships, whether with partners, family, friends, or colleagues, are vital to feeling secure and supported. Yet even the strongest connections can experience tension, miscommunication, or distance. When conflict arises, it can lead to frustration, loneliness, or self-doubt.

  • Sexual abuse can leave deep emotional scars—whether you’ve experienced it yourself or want to better understand and protect others. Healing begins with safety, compassion, and awareness.

For survivors, therapy provides a safe space to process trauma, rebuild trust, and reclaim your sense of self. For parents and caregivers, learning about grooming, secrecy, and boundary violations can help you recognize early warning signs and respond with confidence and care.

Together, we can support healing, understanding, and prevention—restoring hope and strengthening safety for yourself and those you love.
